Have you ever got gum stuck in your hair? And when you try to get it out of your hair, it get worse? Does it then followed by a panicky feeling that overcomes you which makes gives you that impulsive urge to snip that gum tangled part off? Well, obviously, i got gum in my hair. Don't ask me how i get it but i just got it there. Yes...i tried using my nails to scratch all the gum i can possible get out. And the more i touch it the worse it seemed to get. Its a good thing that i was in the uni computer lab and there is nowhere i can lay my hands on a pair of scissors. And also a good thing that i don't carry one in my pencilbox. Or else i prob be walking around with a an awakard hole in my hair for the next few months till it grows out. So now i'm stuck with part of my hair (on the left side of my head...sounds weird) being glued ...or should i say gummed together with ...gum. But well, guess i gotta wait upon my good ol' buddy to come along to get me out of this sticky solution.
Anyways, i'm still at the uni computer labs...determine to finish an assignment that is due in this friday. Yes...i know i should be doing my work..but you know...it means more to me to relax and update you guys rather than to keep intensively burying myself that mountain of journals and readings and not enjoy the process of writing the report. The assignment that is due this fri is from the subject Health service management. It concerns lots of health politics and economics and i have to say...its pretty interesting to see how the government works in the healthcare system. And not forgetting how different politicians try to push for different point of views to do their part for the healthcare system. Though i did not start off liking this unit, its getting more and more interesting as the political side of things is being played out in real life (i.e when the time comes for us to decide whether if we reali need private health coverage or just sticking to the public). Yes...getting my stuff done and after all these hard work.....yup...another camp at Sundown!!! this time would be with the youth group, a more relaxed sort of camp since we would jsut be staying at one campsite and be doing side walks from there.
Hmm...am i making people in the Little Red Dot jealous again? Well, dont be cos you guys back there has stuff we don't have here you know. Where can you get a take-away meal for less than two dollars? Where can you get cheap fresh asian veggies and seafood easily? Where can you get your favorite singapore-style brekkie? Where can you get cheap shopping places like Bugis village? Where can you go wherever without having to take the car? Where can you get transport so reasonably priced and easy to figure out? Where can you get at least 5 dogs under a roof..(kki'm talking abt my singapore home now)? Where can you so easily meet your best girlfrens when you are up for a chat or two? Where can you just walk out after dark and not get mugged (its quite safe here but Josh won't allow me out by myself still after dark)? Where can you get to sprout Singlish and have everyone understanding you completely?
But where can you find the beauty of God's creation in different natural landscapes within a coutry?Where can you find the welcoming fragarence of eucalytus leaves as you walk into the Uni compund? Where can you get chilly winds and temperature that is just perfect (yup..no need for air con, fan or whatever..perfect humidity)? Where can you find a unit that is starting to become home? (yes i have yet to post any pictures up...hmmm..reali should get it going sometime during this winter break k?...too long to wait ah....i try my best la k?) And where can you jsut drive 30 mins to leave the city and get right into nature with mounts and farms surrounding you? Where can you find a sky so blue and clouds that are really fascinating? Where can you find a church so closely knitted that everyone jsut knows whats going on with everyone?And..And where can you get a loving husband that enjoys that same adrenaline thrill at the thought of camping, bushwalking, bush bashing(not my most favorite but would be keen to do it once in a while), or simply doing anything wild and crazy? And...where can you find someone who have seen all sides of you (your beautiful side, your disgusting side, your crazy side, your happy side, your depressing side, your annoying side, your crabby side, your angry side, your selfish side, your weaknesses) and put up with fist fights (kk we havent reach that stage yet...not tat we ever going to get there) and whinings and still love you at the end of the day? That's where God's love comes in. Think that makes up for all the things that i miss in Singapore. A God send husband who has all that he needs to make a godly man, pulgrim, buddy, lover, brother etc...=)
Yup...those who are married..you probably know what i'm talking about. And for those who are not, look forward to that fact tat once your husband/wife see all sides of you and still hold a greater love for you...That's life greatest blessing. It always makes my day to think about this beautiful blessing that the LORD had bestowed upon us.
Have you heard....
Have you ever wonder why God created roses with thorns?
Have you ever been so dazzled by the general beauty of the roses tat you prick yourself with it when you attempt to pluck one?
But when we come to notice the small thorns alongside the stem, then it makes one notice samller details of the roses. By and by as we get familiar with how to pluck the roses without getting pricked by the thorns, we learn to see the purpose and thank God even for the thorns that come with the roses.Because with the thorns we tend to notice more of the smaller detail tat we tend to miss if we have never discovered the thorns.
Likewise, its same with the weaknesses that we see in a loved one. Now, its your turn to work out how it applies ...critical thinking...critical thinking...thats what they are always teaching us Uni students.....=) Take care...and till next time folks...
