About 9 months ago, if i were to think of life being a homemaker and a mother of one, i would imagine myself ......
1) putting up my feet with a good book propped up on my tummy, looking over to a contented baby engrossed with her toys
2) having lots of time doing my personal research on health and dietetics issues (yeah...i'm pretty much a nerd who should have stayed at uni) while Tasha takes her nap
3) getting creative with scrapbooking which i had put off for a year with little angel keeping herself entertained with my markers, pen and pencils.
4) buzzing around the kitchen whipping up tasty and wholesome baby food, muffins and experimenting with cuisine of the world while Tasha taste the different veggies and fruits available
Coming back to reality, i seem to be competing for time more than before. My plans for the day never really goes as scheduled since my angel has an erratic streak when it comes to routine. So instead of being able to read a book in peace for an hour, i probably be able to get a maximum of maybe 15minutes on a good day. If i try to push it, Tasha's demanding cries would replace the serene classical music as the background music.
With respect to researching, i have not really done as much as i want and don't even mention scrapbooking. I hardly touched my scrapbooking box this year and my fingers are already itching for some creative outlet.
However, i am pleased to be able to spend more time in the kitchen from just preparing a simple sandwich to cooking up a storm for a dinner with friends. Tho i still have plenty of room for improvement b4 my dishes can be classified in the gourmet category. The reason why I'm able to spend so much time in the kitchen is because Tasha always get so excited whenever i offer her a piece of veg or fruit to gnaw on and that keeps her going long enough for me to whip up something for lunch or dinner.
Ohhh......i prob should stop her....the little Empress awakes and till next time....
p.s prob won't be blogging for a while cos we would be moving this sat to the house across the street. Not so sure how the internet connection will go. So hopefuli be back in a couple of weeks time. =)
