Growling gets her way?

Tasha been growing heaps faster than before that i simply have enough time to emotionally and mentally cope with it. It seemed like her development in motor skills and her personality took off from the moment she was able to sit up by herself. Though she is still in the process of summoning sufficient courage to crawl without falling face first, moving about an approx. of half a metre by wiggling her bum is no problem. Nowadays, there were times when i placed her on her play mat with heaps of toys to keep her entertain. And when i check on her next, she would be hugging one of the coffee table legs gnawing away like a hamster filing its teeth. Most of the time you can tell her joy in doing that by her bobbing her petite body up and down, flapping her arms up and down and breathing so excitedly that u can hear the air rushing in and out her nostrils.

Recently, we had Uncle Steve over for dinner, just because. We had tucked the little Empress into bed for a nap hoping she would remain asleep with fingers crossed. So we were happily tucking into our tandoori chicken, raita, mango chutney and garlic naan when a sudden burst of crying popped out happy bubble. Out came the Empress with grouchy look as if telling us that its us who woke her up from her sweet dreams. With her propped on her daddy's lap and a naan to suck on, conversations continued as usual. Out of habit, i would often check on her whenever she's not making much noise. (silence might be peaceful for us but it also mean an act of mischief is at progress) This time, she managed to make the naan soggy enough to gnaw off bits to swirl around her mouth. (She takes joy in swirling bits of food in her mouth and prob also enjoy watching me worry and panic - i prob wont be able to handle it if she ever choke). The naan was instantly confiscated. The moment it registered deprivation registered, with brows furrowed, blood rushing to her face as if summoning her entire being, a growl came from within. A growl from such an angelic being?! (scratching chin.....deep in thought). An oxymoron indeed.

Back to the scene at the dining table.....still comfortably placed on daddy's lap, she looked around demandingly as if taking the food seeking task into her hands. Uncle Steve with Greatbatch's blood running in him, growl back at Tasha, in an attempt to spike her ( i will explain another time about the thing with Greatbatches, Josh's maternal side). Eyes fixated at him, her face went a deeper shade of red as she screwed it up and let out a baby roar.

Hang on a minute, isnt she supposed to be most serene, contented, beautiful baby in the world? Where did she even get this streak of possessiveness or ill temper from? What is the world coming to? lolx.....guess thats why she's a Dog baby....
