One year older, a little bit wiser

Time passed real fast!!! We are into 2005 already!! can't believe that all of us are heading right into pre-adulthood. No more a teenager but a pre-adult. On the other hand, who cares about age when one is young at heart.
Last year was one tt i had learnt and also re-learn lotsa princples about life such as.....
1. appreciativeness : after the tsunami tragedy, life indeed is frail and how easy is it to lose someone you love when God's purpose for him/her ends on earth.
2. to seek fulfillment in God only: placing our expectations on man would only end in disappointment, bitterness and hurt if they are not fulfilled in the end. But having our expectations on God, we can be assured that He would definitely bring it to pass or even grant us blessings that exceed what we can imagine.
3. to focus more on doing and hoping rather than the lazy ' sit back and hope' : some people dream about their future, but others wake up and work for it.
4. self sacrificial love : this is one love that i finds it most difficult to do. cos it involves giving up of sth special or beneficial to oneself for the good of another man. Man are all sinful in nature and only does things that would benefit him ultimately. still learning on how to nurture this certian special love that our Lord Jesus Christ had perfected at the cross for us.

Above are only some of the things that i had learnt.....
Anyways there's gonna be more values to be learnt and re-learnt this year........wonder how the learning of all would affect my life in future. But i have faith in Him that He would all this for a good that i would come to know of in future or maybe .....in Heaven.
