This reminded me of Chinese painting. But I think one of my bird looked alot like a kingfisher.
watercolour painting is another hobby that I took up this past year. I remember being sent to drawing classes at our local community centre (Lena, do u remember?) with 2 of my siblings and was taught to draw random stuff with crayons, pencils etc.
When we got older, the 3 of us were then promoted to Chinese painting classes which were definitely a whole different way of drawing again. Those were the times we were not even serious about art and were there 'cos our parents think its a good way to stimulate our artist side of our brain. I can recall numerous times of just drawing carelessly and quickly just so to finish my drawing and get out of the class in the shortest time possible. Not so sure if my mum was really proud of our drawings but she did dedicate an entire wall in the living room just to display our paintings.

So life gets more interesting for me as I discover more about this dear friend of mine, whom I always knew like to cook and run marathons, but never knew she loves painting!
So cliche, but it's true that we only know why our mothers let us go through some of the stuff we did when we were young after we become mothers ourselves!
wow! your paintings are so nice!
lolz.....maybe its motherhood thats bringing out the artistic side of me....
